My 10 year old was looking over my shoulder as I read this. He said, "dad, are you crying"? "No son, we just lost a hero and I am sad". Its really fucking dusty in this room...

Good video memorial. For me, the last few seconds says it all. Dude went out doing what he loved to do. There is something to be said for that.

RIP Brother.

May we all exit this world on top of life, happy with our accomplishments, neither ashamed nor saddened by what we had not done, and genuinely admired and subsequently missed by the same people we ourselves cherish.

A wise man and friend on this board once said that we should never forget that we all signed up for the life and freely chased the dream (paraphrased) -- we owe the memories of our friends the recognition that they chose to be the very giants we walk/have walked amongst.

RIP SSgt McClintock....

SFC James Grissom DOW three years ago today on March 21st 2013 1SFG ODA 1411. SFC Matthew McClintock and SFC James Grissom were best friends and Teammates and now share the same Hollowed grounds of Arlington. The loss of Matts best friend is the reason Matt left AD and joined the National Guard. They're gone way too soon but both lived more and did more in their short lives than 99% of men ever will. They were brothers and teammates in life and now they sit together once again at their table in Valhalla; a table for the greatest of Warriors; our Green Berets. Drink a Coke in memory of SFC James Grisssom today . I'll be adding lots of Jack to mine. May they Rest in Peace. De Oppresso Liber
