Since when did Army use the term "pump?" Also how is is possible you had no rank?

I think I know the answer poser, but will hold off to see if you want to double down with a response.

Hello Everyone,

My account validated today, so here is my introduction. I have no military experience, but both my father and uncle served in the US Navy during World War II. I understand my uncle was with one of the early/original UDTs, but no one is left alive to give me any details.

Thanks for this resource!

Hello,

My personal military experience is in the USAF from Nov. 1987 - Oct 1992.
After Basic in Lackland and tech school in Keesler, I was stationed at RAF Croughton May 1988 - Aug 1990 and Lowry AFB Aug 1990 - Oct 1992

I found my time in the Air Force to be rewarding and it hard to believe I've been out this long. My AFSC was 49350 or Telecommunication Specialist.

30 years after tech school, I'm still in telecom with the same USAF Community College Assoc. Degree. I feel I've done very well and credit my time in the military a lot of my success.

Thanks for the add... I appreciate it!
My name is Dave and was an AW/rescue swimmer(SAR) on H-3’s back in the 80’s.

Have a new employee at our store claiming to be a SEAL. I have done a diligent search and have found no proof of his claim. Was hoping you guys could assist. Thanks , again.

Welcome fellow SAR Dog. Go to the SEAL forum and PM Frog. He will be able to assist in vetting your employee.

Hello everyone,
I appreciate the add. My name is Kenny I was an 11B in the Army. Was stationed in Hawaii from 2009 to 2013 and deployed to Iraq with Charlie Company 1-27 IN 2SBCT. Moved around a bit in the battalion and finally settled in with our HHC Recon/Sniper platoon. Loved what I did.

I am talking with a recruiter now about going to Afghanistan. Just wondering what questions I should ask the recruiter going forward.

Former Army WO

Hello All,

Thanks for the add, and the question that was already answered. I am a former WO in the US Army. I spent 4 years active duty enlisted as a 12B (Combat Engineer), then another 5 years in the Reserve Component (USAR) as a Warrant Officer Aviator 153F. I'm interested in politics, and a return to traditional American Values. I find the the left to be moving more radically left every day.

Thanks for the add!

I'm currently a 25U E-5 (Army), been in 9 years (this is my last year). I was with the 349th CSH out of Bell, CA and deployed (kind of) to Kuwait. Now I am with the 244th EN BN in Denver, CO but right now I'm in IRR and contracting in the Balkans. I have a few cards on the table, whether to re-up with the Army and go Acive, or continue contracting...and even though the Army has an attractive reenlistment bonus (I never joined for the money) I think I may keep contracting.

Still thinking it over.

Into Mangorilla83

Hey all,

My background is primarily Law Enforcement, 10 years in Alaska. Some with the Alaska State Troopers. My last 3 years were EDD K9. After that I took a break and then went over to AEGIS/ Garda to contract as an EDD handler. I never ended up deploying with them but now am looking to get back into the Contracting world.

I miss K9 haha!!

Cheers

Hello folks, I'm vagabond currently in tech, lived on both coasts and the midwest. Shooter (currently into long range, put together a rig for 1km) and occasional hunter on the side. No mil experience but have some vet relatives.

Good evening ladies and gents,

I am a prior Marine, Served with 2/10 as an 0811 for four years. One deployment on a MEU with a surprise ending in Iraq for a couple months. Probably messed up by getting out... I am currently trying to figure out my next steps to doing something other than chimney work for the rest of my life. So, I am currently seeking employment within the security contracting scene for now. I do however know that ultimately that isn't what I really want. But that's for another discussion I suppose.

This site has been a great resource for me to better learn about many topics, including contracting, SOF, and the other topics discussed here. So everyone, I would like to thank you for the knowledge, time and effort put in here. It's greatly appreciated...

Greetings everyone,
I'm currently a strength and conditioning/football/wrestling coach. I was GM 1999-2005 multiple spec war commands both East and west coast. Got to see 39 countries via the ole USN. Wouldn't trade it for the world. I love this country and all who keep it free.

We’re you a SEAL, or a support guy assigned to the Teams. I recall supporting a West Coast odd numbered unit with the call sign of “Bad Monkey”.
