1RiserSlip, the prequel is found here... https://silentwarriorfoundation.com/...y-war-stories/ I think both would make great movies. We will be sure to add the link when we have tickets and more info available.

Kimberchick, we have plans to do an East Coast Whiskey & War Stories™. We hope to get that one on the books this year. Any suggestions on a location?

That phrase is really trademarked? Huh. I have seen a few vet groups use it.

I suggest North Carolina or Virginia. I am sure others can chime in. I am a little biased, since I lived in NC and now in VA.

A Silent Warrior Foundation engages in activities that make said warriors stop being silent.

The Silent Warrior Foundation has had to move the date on this due to Wuhan Coronavirus. The new date will be posted here and at www.silentwarriorfoundation.com posthaste.

Your tickets are still good and it sounds like more Son Tay raiders are coming!

Stay healthy,

JOS

New Date

Join us Friday, August 14, 2020 for our 5th Annual Whiskey & War Stories™ series and fundraiser. We will be returning to the beautiful Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ.

Doors open at 5:00pm.

Cocktails & hors d’oeuvres, sponsored by Youngs Market, will start at 5:30 pm.

Dinner, sponsored by Shamrock Foods, will begin at 6:30 pm.

As always, we will have amazing items in our silent auction that you will not want to miss.

This year we are honored to have the men of Operation Ivory Coast…the Son Tay Raid.

On 21 November 1970, a joint United States Air Force/United States Army force commanded by Air Force Brigadier General LeRoy J. Manor and Army Colonel Arthur D. “Bull” Simons landed 56 U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers by helicopter in the Son Tay prisoner-of-war camp located only 23 miles west of Hanoi, North Vietnam. The objective was the recovery of 60-70 American prisoners of war

Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the men who were willing to risk everything to save American POWs.

Back as our moderator this year will be Retired Navy SEAL Senior Chief Dave Hall.

Speakers to include: Lieutenant Colonel Tom Waldron (Ret) USAF, Colonel John Gargus (Ret) USAF and Sergeant Major Vladimir "Jake" Jakovenko (ret) USA. Plus many more SonTay Raiders will be in attendance!

Strap in and get ready for an interesting ride. The event will conclude around 9:30 pm.

Individual ticket prices are $150 per person, and sponsorship packages are available starting at $2,500. All proceeds benefit the Silent Warrior Foundation, a 501(c)3 charity serving our military members and their children since 2010.

I have lost track of several Vets that use to come to the V.A. in Sacramento that there on the raid, Last I knew they were in CO. Both of the were/are Bike Riders, Great guys.

Someone I went to school with lives in CO. So I asked the to stop by an say hello. She was from Roswell N.M. so e call her a green alliin from out of space,. Her husband works on cars, but when these two Veterans pull up on their Bikes. She told him their is someone out their to see you.

To her surprise he comes back inside the house an told her the would like to talk to the green alliin from out of space.

She didn't know them but got a laugh when they told her the wildman said hello. They both got invited to home cooked meal.

Both great Veterans.
