Welding Jobs

Is there any sort of work in the US (permanent, part-time, contract) or Iraq/Afghanistan reconstruction that would hire entry level welders, and wouldn't mind hiring some Canadians ?

Are there any areas where they can't find enough welders or tradespeople?

Pretty sure that KBR/Halliburton was/is looking for welders and I believe that LSI or URS corp. as well.

URS Corp./LSI is being sub-pimped by KBR/Halliburton. When I worked for them we did the weps stuff because they wanted nothing to do with weapons at all.
