Bank of America Assistant Manager Leadership Development Program

The below job posting went out in a neatly formated (CJSOTF-worthy!) email to Bank of America's Military Support & Assistance Group (MSAG) members last week.

Bank of America hired 1,600+ veterans in 2012 and is looking at something similar for 2013.

Around 4,000 veterans work at Bank of America, and the bank's suppport for its National Guard & reservist employees is nothing short of amazing.

Short timeline to apply, won't come close to matching contractor pay (intially anyways), but is an excellent entry point if you are looking to get in to banking.

Assistant Manager Leadership Development Program
Who: Veterans graduating college with a bachelor’s degree between May 2012 and June 2013

What: Assistant Manager Leadership Development Program

When: Some application deadlines are as early as 15 MARCH.

Where: Various locations to include NJ, NY, MO, FL, MD, VA, DC, GA, TX, AR, WA, NC

Why: Tremendous opportunity to build on military leadership experience and begin a career with Bank of America

Bank of America is currently soliciting external veteran referrals for the Assistant Manager Leadership Development Program. This is an ideal entry point into the bank for military veterans graduating college with a bachelor’s degree this spring.
The program delivers the bank a deeper and broader bench of Assistant Banking Center Managers by developing top talent college graduates through Experience, Education & Exposure. Over the course of an 18-month rotational program, participants will learn the necessary skills and behavior to effectively lead a team of sales and service professionals to meet and exceed aggressive sales goals and service targets.

Details on the program and job qualifications can be found here:http://campus.bankofamerica.com/amer...t-program.aspx

What you need to do:

1. Prior to the application deadline: Ensure you apply at http://careers.bankofamerica.com/careershome.aspx
• Search for “Assistant Manager Leadership Development Program”
• Select location of interest and follow application instructions

2. Prior to the application deadline: Ensure a current bank employee recommends you through the “Refer a Friend” portion at Flagscape -> Essential Links -> Career Search -> Refer a Friend (bottom right of page)

One more note:

If anyone does complete the application process (Step 1 and 2), PM me you name/email. Will make sure the veterans hiring lead at the bank has your info and that your application is being tracked as a veteran. That is important.

Just in our corner area of office, there are six of us veterans (five hired within the past year). Bank of America is a company that truly walks the walk when it comes to supporting veterans. Great people, solid leaders, so hopefully we can get a few (thousand) more vets onboard this year.

They may be supportive of veterans, but they have a shitty track record of supporting their customers. I was one of them. Hopefully hiring vets will assist in improving their culture.
