But ..... if the ice in the bottom of craters that never receive sunlight, how did we get "bright lights" which one assumes would be light reflecting off the ice?

I'm still waiting for Mars base to happen. Or moon base. And awesome spaceships. Seriously though, when you look at celestial bodies and watch space phenomena you begin to realize how unbelievably vast space is. It's literally endless. Here on Earth we see light of stars that took sometimes several million years to arrive from them to us. Some stars might be actually already dead.
It's insane, a true "final frontier" for humanity.
