Note to self, do not bring tennis balls, zippo fluid, and canned baked beans to the next, if any, meet up. Got it... :D

Might be a little costly, but the propellant out of a LAW is pretty cool. You bend one of the sticks, light one end and it will spin like crazy till it gets to the crimp, them it pops quite nicely. It's a little hard to figure out where it wants go, so you need a good sized area. At the same celebration, our Captain shot a LAW straight up in the air, we ended the party after that.

Or, use MORE lighter fluid and it will launch a FLAMING tennis ball over 100m.

(Or down the length of your dorm hallway. That might not have been our brightest move... )

It is currently in my garage, 1 cup black powder (coarser the better) at 60 degree elevation equals 400 yards with a 10 pound ball.

I was trying to protect the guilty by being vague.

I like fireworks as much as the next guy but echoing other comments, here in the West it's dry as a popcorn fart usually during the 4th and the Joe Dirt look a likes with their hoosker do's and hoosker don'ts don't seem to have the common sense to appropriately use them. We lost 1 mil in timber last year because of someone shooting tannerite in bone dry conditions.

Our dogs hate fireworks but a couple of times a year isn't going to kill them.

A legit concern where we are this time of year is that if a fire gets started it will be epic. Dry black spruce for miles and it burns like you read about.

Telling it how much weight he lost in Ranger School.
