Battleship trailer

Yahoo Movies

Looks interesting, I never thought it would work as a movie, the game that is, makes more sense now.

Looks good to me... I will go see it in the cinema.

Course, the Navy doesn't have any more Battleships but, no one played Guided Missile Cruiser as a kid and it doesn't sound as good

It's got Rihanna in it so how bad can it be? My 3 year old really digs her. Might take him to see it. Looks pretty cool from trailer.

I have to admit that the concept of turning the board game into a movie is pretty clever and should be entertaining.

Anything that shows a Battleship firing a full broadside with its main guns (even CGI) is awesome as hell!

IT REALLY SUCKS that it won't be released until May 2012

Probably is going to be a good "forget reality and go with the unending action flow" flick like the new Transformers Darkside of the Moon was...

In my house, we have a general guide -- not really a rule, but certainly something we have come to rely upon as solid thinking. Essentially, we state that if a trailer/preview sucks, then the movie may be good -- and vice versa.

However.

This trailer sucked.

And I believe the movie will be worse....

Anyone remember the Star Blazers cartoon? This was one of the first Japanese anime shows I ever saw. I remember it being the coolest cartoon at the time.

This seems eerily familiar...

Wave motion gun, my kid brother watched that.

The first anime I remember was Prince Planet. It was mid 60's and so long ago that I didn't recall it was not in color till I read it years later.

I'll have to side with SOTB on this one. I had no desire to see it before that trailer, and I really don't have any desire afterwards. The best thing about it hitting the theaters is that Berg will then be free to film Lone Survivor.

JAFO- WOW, I used to watch that when I was a kid. It was an awesome cartoon. Thanks for reminding me how old I am.

This looks about as good as the new Smurfs movie. I'm glad that now we aren't only ruining old classic movies, classic shows, but now classic rainy-day board games. Fan-fucking-tastic.

Its too bad a few good actors are involved in this, but I only like actors for what they do while they act (except Mr. Sinise). I'll still hang out with Rihanna if she wants to, but I won't be seeing this movie...

Yeah I really didn't like that trailer. But who knows? It could have me fooled.

Maybe I wasn't playing the game right, but I don't remember the part where my ships get sunk by Alien spacecraft.
