Damn. I just logged in and saw this. I'm a relatively longtime lurker on this site, but I was fortunate enough to have sat with the man face to face on two occasions. Throughout my life I have collected "wise old men", starting when I was a kid and learned the value of shutting up and soaking in the sageness of those who had lived. Back then, a "wise old man" could be anyone from someone the age of my grandfather all the way down to someone just a few years ahead of me in life.
Now that I'm in my fifties, "Cass" was one of those men. Rest in peace, sir. |
Helluva life. He will be missed.
|
RIP Cass.

I did not know Cass, or SOTB, but spent many hours reading their posts here and learning something from each one. Thank you so very much.
There is nothing good to say about the loss of such a man. Prayers inbound to the family. |
Almost never did you have to read his post twice to get his message.
He was kind with people on here even when they acted up and few simple words would calm a thread down. Class Zero! I love that. He will be missed. |
Damn. Thank you sir, and your family, for your service.
