RIP Ranger SGT "Dynamite" Fagaata

No details, other than that the Ft. Lewis heavyweight boxing champ, Ranger Sergeant, my old team leader and short-term roommate, has passed away.

Rest in Peace, Dyna. You'll be sorely missed, but I'll be seeing you in the PB.

Update on Dyna... he died of a stroke. No word as to any possible cause, but then, who really knows when it's something like that?

Live each and every day to the fullest, folks. We never know just what the Three Fates have spun for us:

Clotho, responsible for spinning the thread of life, some threads are spun more finely than others.

Lachesis was is the Fate who measured the thread spun on Clotho's spindle. She was the apportioner, deciding how much time for life was to be allowed for each. She sometimes also determined the destiny of each thread.

Finally, Atropos, the oldest of the Three Fates chose the mechanism of death and ended the life of each mortal by cutting their thread with her shears.

Dyna was a good one. It is said that a candle burning brightly at both ends burns half as long, and that was certainly the case with Dyna. He was a force to be reckoned with, a superior soldier, and a great father. His thread was of the finest quality. I just wish he'd been allotted a bit more time with us.

Dynamite McClusky Fagaata, Fort Lewis Heavyweight Boxing Champion
Just saw this.... this bites big time...
Dynamite was one tough guy.
First time in Panama he climbs a coconut tree with a Drive on Rag tied between his bare feet and knocks a half dozen coconuts out of the tree for us to eat.
I am sure the rest of our Squad will be surprised that he has died..
He will be truley missed.

Polypro 13 October 2015 07:34

I remember him too, RIP buddy.

Rich Gause 13 October 2015 09:46

I remember him hiding in the quad with 3 of us looking for him. When we couldn't find him he'd step out from behind one of the trees and you would wonder how the hell he could hide there without us seeing him....

Master of the Yeti Net, too - Two minutes of prep time with a pine bough and some of the multitude of ferns, and he'd literally disappear.
