I think some of you are missing the point entirely. Launching an investigation into what may be a misappropriation of a large chunk of the taxpayers money is the right thing to do.... PERIOD! I would expect no less from the Governor. Yes the Colonel is a hero, no doubts and has done great things for God and country but that does not mean he can collect 84k a year to sit around drinking coffee. Maybe in the private sector but not on the taxpayer's dime. This is more on the Public Defender's shoulders than the Col's. Evidence proves he's "GTG" then he's GTG, no harm no foul and the GOV is in the clear for having looked out for the taxpayer's money. Its an accountability thing, nothing less, nothing more.
