General James Livingston USMC

I met a true hero this Veteran's Day. I was assigned to assist with the parade route on St. Simons Island and while watching the various veterans, vehicles, and bands line up, I saw a convertible Cadillac with a banner that read "General James Livingston (USMC) Medal Of Honor".

I approached and met General Livingston who took the time to speak with me for a few minutes. In what seemed like seconds, I noticed a large gathering of people lining up to shake his hand behind me, so I thanked him for his service and faded into the background so others could have the pleasure of meeting him. Truly an incredible day!
