RIP SFC Williams

Just found out Senior Drill Sergeant SFC Ricky Williams was killed last night after being hit by another vehicle on his motorcycle. He was on the way to talk to the members of Alpha Company 232nd Medical BN who were leaving for Airborne school the next day, the rest of Aco (including me) had just left after graduation earlier that day.

He was one of the funniest people I've ever met and a stand up guy, he will be missed.

(Insert your name), what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I found out today. One of my old AIT buddies told me. I am at loss for words. He was more than just "cadre". He gave everything. He would help those who needed it. He would and did put his ass and his reputation on line for all of us. He will be missed. I am going to call 1SGT Clarke or Cpt. Mann and see when the memorial service is and a bunch of us are gonna chip in and send flowers and donations to the family.Rest In Peace. My mentor and the man that inspired me to live how I live and do what I do best. Save lives.

To all those who are interested or knew this man, this Email was sent to me by the A Co. company commander.

PFC Towles,

Thank you for your email. I know that senior touched an enormous amount
of soldier medics in his time. Senior Williams actually passed on 0830
on 14 Apr 05. Memorial Services will be held at 1400 on 19 Apr 05 @ the
main post chapel. Senior was a great man and loved to train soldier
medics. He was proud of you and everyone that showed great effort to be
better soldiers. Please thank all of the Soldiers that send their
regards. Anyone that wants to send regards please have them send it to
me and I will pass the emails on to Senior Williams wife. Have a great
and please keep everyone in your prayers. Good Luck and God Speed.
