SF soldier KIA -- Memorial and tribute

Upon the recommendation of a respected friend, I would like to submit a photo for those of you wishing a glimpse of the memorial attendees at Mitch Lane's Memorial, KIA 8/29/03, held in his home town of Lompoc, CA. To the left is SFC Doug Sands, center, PrincessPatriot, and right SFC Charles Burke. Both SF'ers were members of Mitch Lane's unit.

The Memorial was a high tribute to Mitch with an honor passed to me by accepting an invitation to sit with the family during the services. He is sorely missed by many people. A friend here on SOCNET said to me in the weeks following his death, "I hope he left a piece of his heart for the one of yours he took with him." I lost a brother, and somehow there is a piece of me that I can never get back.
