The Forcemen were legends. I had the pleasure of meeting a few of them in Helena and in Marysville, MT ~25 years ago. Hard as woodpecker lips and the same warped sense of humor we had.
Their official unit history is stunning to say the least. When we were drinking some beer with the Forcemen, they mentioned their nickname for themselves: Freddy's Freighters. Loooong ruck marches were the order of the day back them.
I'm glad I got to know them. Rest assured we're still using their SOPs to this day.
