Carey was in 1st Plt, A Co when I got there in '77.
Gung ho to the core. After he left the Battalion, we ran into him in Florida on an EDRE. I remember that an SF Team set up a Fulton Recovery System to extract the "stuff" that we had recovered during our part of the mission. Carey was on the SF Team. He was one of the good ones! RIP Carey.
