Oldest living MOH recipient passed away

RIP, this portion of his MOH citation caught my attention.

They ran into an enemy force in the woods estimated to be an infantry company. TSgt. Coolidge, attempting to bluff the Germans by a show of assurace and boldness, called upon them to surrender, whereupon the enemy opened fire.

I was watching A Bridge Too Far the other night, TSgt. Coolidge's actions reminded me of this scene in the movie, my favorite scene in the movie too.
