Just pretend you submitted something to the VA. 19 months seems like lightning speed.

Anybody know the difference between surefire socom rc & the rc2? I have read that they have used computerized welding, driving down cost and changed the front baffle. I’ve had an rc for some time; looking to add a 30 cal mini, but I wanted to confirm that the new model is as trustworthy as the original.

Where suppressor technology is at the moment, I would seriously recommend going with a low back pressure suppressor design.

However it would be advisable to be able to try out the choices before buying to verify the manufacturers claim and to see that there is no negative effect of the design ( too loud, large muzzle flash etc. )

It is possible to have a suppressor design that has good sound suppression, excellent flash signature reduction and also keeping the effect on the bolt carrier speed under 10% increase ( with more traditional suppressor models it is c. 30-40% usually on 5.56 rifles )

Best Regards!

Don't know how "good" it is, but brake cleaner if you can't take it apart and you don't have access to a hot tank.

It comes apart...tho I've been putting it off, so it's gonna
take a dowel and mallet to get the cups out.

Not sure the brake cleaner will do much to the lead, but
I'll give it a spray-shot.

Been wondering the same thing. Do I use the 7.62 / .308 can, or something with tighter tolerances for the 6.5 CM? I'm thinking pressures shouldn't be too big of an issue if using a 7.62 can, but it may not be as quiet.

I always hesitate to offer gun opinions here but that's what I do. I have a surefire 7.62 I swap between a .300 BLK, 7.62 and the 6.5. Works good enough for what I do with it. I am actually heading to the range with a couple of them this week, I can video and hit it with a DB meter if you want.

Thanks. I have an AAC (pre-Remington) that I run on my 300 Blk. Based on that, I should be g2g for using it on my X-bolt in 6.5 creedmoor.

My understanding is that ultrasonic cleaners fuck up aluminum baffles/components.
