Special Forces Poser/PTSD counselor outed, resigns.

This guy, Paul Schroeder...

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-te...ry-3161064.php

seems to have been outed by the paper, organic? Not bad.

Claims he got PTSD in Central and South America.

Maybe he confused PTSD and STD. It could happen.

Cripes guys. If you only knew how many times I have heard that one when outing a fake SEAL.

The possible damage done by him is worse than stealing money IMO.

Just when you think you've seen it all.

"He said he does have PTSD that predates his military service and worsened when he was stationed with the Army in Central and South America"

Article said he was in Panama. Must have "worsened" when 7th Group guys kept banging his girlfriends.

99 weeks then a 99 week extension, not to mention food stamps, a free cell phone, and his mortgage is deferred for a year. He's shittin' in tall cotton.

Thank God, the poor guy deserves it, having PTSD and all.

I'm almost positive the shirt he has on in the photos can be purchased at the Airborne and Special Ops Museum gift shop. They have an online store as well.

I met this douchebag at a meeting about how the department should deal with police officers who have deployed. I'm not an SF soldier and there are a lot of things I don't know about the SF world, but this guy's story just didn't ring true. His partner's story about VN was straight out of a TV show I saw in the 80's. At the academy, Schroeder was presented as "someone we can call a true hero," and was praised for being so humble about his accomplishments. I asked around and wasn't able to find out anything definite, but I'm not the least bit surprised the guy turned out to be a fake. Now the department is justly going to have to take come shit for letting this guy train officers, without making sure he was who he said he was. Glad to see him crash and burn.

Schroeder was charged with altering his DD214. Don't see anything about him being arrested yet, but it's coming.

30 days in Prison

This just in:

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/12/05...ederal-prison/

A Texas man who embellished his military record to appear as a highly-decorated war hero has been sentenced to 30 days in federal prison, authorities said.
Paul A. Schroeder, 41, of Shenandoah, was convicted of altering a military or naval discharge certificate, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced Monday. The former director of counseling for the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Foundation of America admitted he altered his military discharge certificate.

I wonder if he will claim PTSD after his prison term?

"... I'm trying to do the honorable thing now."

It's funny how they always seem to be trying to do the "honorable thing"... after they're caught.

So does it make me a poser if, when asked what I did in the Army, I tell people I was a cook?
