CMT Snapped - Donna Yaklich

Pueblo, Colorado District Attorney office contacts Mr John Giduck to return from Jamaica with Donna Yaklich. The Pueblo, CO DA Office had a warrant for Yaklich’s arrest in the murder of her husband Dennis Yaklich. Dennis Yaklich was an undercover Police Officer for the Pueblo, Colorado Police Department. Mr John Giduck consorted with Donna Yaklich since her husband’s funeral in December 1985, apparently using the dead Police Officer’s life insurance to fund the getaway to Jamaica. Donna Yaklich turned herself in to the Pueblo PD on 2 March 1986.

The Harbinger - Like a modern-day Paul Revere, John Giduck wants you to know that the terrorists are coming to America to take over our schools.
David Griffith

URL: http://www.policemag.com/Channel/Pat...rbinger-1.aspx

“When Russian Special Forces units stormed the terrorist held school in Beslan on Sept. 3, 2004, John Giduck was landing in Moscow with his Archangel team of tactical consultants, including former Soviet Spetsnaz commandos. Giduck reached Beslan while the school was still smoking from the fires ignited by the Chechen terrorists; bombs and bodies of the more than 344 victims of the siege were still being removed. The experience changed Giduck’s life and led him to become one of the busiest law enforcement speakers and trainers in America.

Giduck was commissioned to write an after-action report for the U.S. government on the tactics used by both the terrorists and the Russian troops who assaulted the school. He soon realized that the information in that AAR needed a larger audience, and he wrote “Terror at Beslan: A Russian Tragedy with Lessons for America’s Schools.” The book was written in just three months and, ever since it’s publication, Giduck and Archangel have become some of the busiest law enforcement and military trainers in America.”

“ In his keynote address to the 2007 National Association of School Resources Conference, held against the rugged and forbidding backdrop of Orlando's Disney World, self-styled tactical and counter-terrorism “expert” John Giduck opened a window into this mindset:

"You've got to be a one-man fighting force...You've got to have enough guns, and ammunition and body armor to stay alive...You should be walking around in schools every day in complete tactical equipment, with semi-automatic weapons.... You can no longer afford to think of yourselves as peace officers...You must think of yourself [sic] as soldiers in a war because we're going to ask you to act like soldiers." “

roanoke.com - Independent report lauds Tech shooting response.
Greg Esposito

URL: http://www.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/wb/178060

“BLACKSBURG -- A report released this month from a security and anti-terrorism group praises the response of Virginia Tech and Blacksburg police to the April 16, 2007, shootings and defends the manner in which the university notified the campus of the emergency.

The Sept. 5 report was produced by Archangel Group Ltd., a Colorado-based organization that does consulting for law enforcement, the military and schools. The report is a tactical assessment of law enforcement response to the shootings and is designed to offer guidance to emergency responders and schools.

"It is hard to imagine any department could have performed better," the 144-page report's conclusion reads. "The training, preparation, interagency operability and conduct of these departments and their officers should serve as a model for all police throughout America." “

NOTE: This author is among many who also questioned Mr John Giduck’s credentials.

URL: http://aquestionofaccountability.blo...ppart-two.html

“I was deeply disappointed when I read the Archangel Group’s report on the Virginia Tech shooting. The report is clearly fashioned in the form of a legal argument designed to make a point or win a case—not designed to get at the objective truth. The most positive thing I can say is that the approach taken by the report is intellectually shaky.”

I was so thunder-struck by the poor quality of the report that I went back and took a closer look at the credentials and membership of the Archangel Group.

“I have reluctantly concluded that this report is not an objective analysis of the Virginia Tech shootings; it is a 144-page advertisement for the Archangel Group.”

John Giduck.

“Author and military specialist John Giduck, CHS-V, wants you to know that terrorists desire very much to attack a U.S. school and inflict unbearable casualties, just as they did in 2004 in Beslan, Russia. This article first appeared in the Fall 2008 issue of Inside Homeland Security.

Giduck is among only a few Americans who have personally witnessed the aftermath of the Beslan school siege, which claimed 384 lives. His 2005 book, Terror at Beslan, is widely recognized as the most comprehensive report on the terrorist attack and its aftermath.

Giduck has lived an eclectic life. He’s been a trial lawyer, soldier, business owner, college professor, bullrider, national weightlifting champion, sky diver, and scuba diving instructor. He is one of the world’s foremost experts on Russian military training, and he has trained U.S. law enforcement departments at many levels.

“According to the online description: "John Giduck, arrived at the Beslan Middle School No. 1 in North Ossetia, Russia, at the conclusion of the battle by Russian Special Forces to retake the school. He spent months investigating all aspects of this attack, including many interviews with Russian Special Forces, government officials, and Beslan townspeople. Get insight into how the terrorists’ plan was formed, intelligence developed for the assault, defenses deployed, and how ultimately negotiations failed and why, resulting in more than 300 dead in a ten hour battle. This seminar also covers the government’s plan in handling the crisis, what went wrong, and what went right. Vulnerabilities of U.S. schools to this same type of assault and necessary changes in security to protect our children are presented in detail. “John Giduck was a practicing lawyer in the 1980s. Then, he says, during the late Gorbachev era, the American Bar Foundation dispatched him to Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), where he met the head of the KGB for Leningrad. (“Putin’s boss,” he says.) They became fast friends, and Giduck began traveling frequently to Russia. He claims to have trained with multiple Russian special forces units, and to be certified by the “Vityaz Special Forces Anti-Terror School.” In 2004, Giduck traveled to Russia immediately after the Beslan school massacre and wrote a book called Terror at Beslan. It was published in 2005, and it raised Giduck’s profile, earning him a guest appearance on the Glenn Beck show in the fall of 2007. Among the book’s most sensational allegations is that the terrorists at Beslan systematically raped their hostages, a claim that no other primary source account has made. In the meantime, Giduck has also become an in-demand counterterrorism trainer.”

Status:
LIE. Though Mr. John Giduck possibly had limited exposure to members of Russia's Alpha Unit in an informal, voluntary one week adventure camp setting, he was never a member of the unit or received any of their formal training. LIE. To date there is no documented evidence or testimony substantiating Mr John Giduck’s claim that victims at the Beslan seige were raped.

Tak Response Conference and Exhibition - ARCHANGEL OFFERS NEW SWAT TACTICS FOR THE TERROR ATTACKS OF THE FUTURE.

URL: http://www.takresponse.com/index/spe...ffers_new.html

John Giduck

“In the military, units learn to advance on an enemy that has had its head put down from artillery. Such less-than-lethal artillery is available to every police department in America, and it comes in the form of fire trucks. We have all seen the awesome affect of fire hoses and water cannons used on demonstrators around the world. Recently hundreds of protesting Sudanese were sent skittering across streets by such hoses in Egypt. Others have been knocked off chain link fences and sent across four lanes of highway. And this same tactic can be used by SWAT teams to eliminate much of what a concerted enemy can deploy against us on our own soil.

From a distance of 120 feet, a two and one-half inch fire hose, with 200 lbs. of water pressure, can take out a window and any obstruction such as a table or desk, knocking anyone standing behind it across the room; and it can do so with pinpoint accuracy. For a terrorist in an open window, this same hose can eliminate him from a distance of 150 ft., and do so without killing the hostage held in front of him.

When advancing across open ground, fire hoses provide the best artillery available. Fire trucks are huge, monolithic creatures not unlike APCs. Just as BTR 80s were used to move teams across the northern courtyard of the Beslan School in Russia, and then to cover the evacuation of hostages and wounded, so too can fire trucks play the same role. One hose operator from behind a body bunker can continuously hit any bad guys sticking their heads up in windows, giving advancing SWAT teams the critical time they need to get to the walls of the siege site.

Once inside the building, a single fire hose drug in with the tac team can devastate the carefully laid fortifications and defensive incendiary devices of the hostage takers. Rather than struggle with the various tactics of fire teams attempting to eliminate belt fed machine gun positions, one fire hose can send the enemy’s worst weapon sailing down the hallway, along with its operators. Just as important, trip wires and boobytraps set in the hallways can be sent flying, eliminating them as a threat before the SWAT members move into their burst radius. The saturation from the volume of water alone will have the added affect of neutralizing many of the IEDs without detonation. And the security cameras that Archangel travels the country warning schools about being available to anyone who would take a school can be knocked off the walls well in advance of the approaching teams.”

"The Columbus Division of Police is Proud to Present Mr. John Giduck: Archangel Group, Ltd.'s senior consultant and instructor, John Giduck, arrived at the Beslan Middle School No. 1 in North Ossetia, Russia, at the conclusion of the battle by Russian Special Forces to retake the school. He spent months investigating all aspects of this attack, includ- ing many interviews with Russian Special Forces, government officials, and Beslan townspeople. Archangel presents up to 8-hour seminars on his investigation into how the terrorists' plan was formed, intelligence developed for the assault, defenses deployed, and how ulti- mately negotiations failed and why, resulting in more than 300 dead in a ten hour battle. As well, this seminar covers the government's plan in handling the crisis, what went wrong, and what went right. Vulnerabilities of U.S. schools to this same type of assault and nec- essary changes in security to protect our chil- dren are presented in detail. Diagrams, video, and never before seen photos from Archan- gel's representatives are included. Archangel Group, Ltd. was the only American agency that conducted an on-scene investigation of this tragedy as it unfolded. Mr. Giduck authored the book, Terror At Beslan: A Russian Tragedy with Lessons for America's Schools, to detail the history lead- ing up to this terrorist event, as well all as- pects of the siege and the aftermath.

“...We were the first and, to my knowledge, the only Americans that were allowed into Beslan to visit the school. Our ambassador would visit the North Ossetia office the day after we arrived in Beslan to express the condolences of the American people on behalf of our State Department.”

NOTE: This author is among many who also questioned Mr John Giduck’s credentials.

“Apparently an honest disagreement and differences of opinion are out of the question when it comes to John Giduck or his supporters. For a man who nearly breaks his arm patting himself on the back for being the defender of truth, justice, and the American way, he has a funny way of showing it.

I have written a number of critiques of Giduck’s writings on the shootings at Virginia Tech. My critiques have been picked up and endorsed by several blogs.

Indeed, the readership of my blog has nearly tripled since I posted the Giduck articles. Apparently my words have deeply upset Giduck or his followers.

Rather than challenge my assertions or show where I am wrong, he, or one of his fans, decided to deface my Facebook page by posting a picture of the cover of his book, “Shooter Down,” blocking and covering most of the page. The book cover has now been taken down.

Stop to think of what that action was—at minimum it was harassment, at worst it was a threat because of the title of the book. If Giduck, or his minions, cannot take an honest disagreement and engage in an intellectual dialog about that disagreement, do we really want him consulting about school shootings? When someone comes unglued because his or her ideas are challenged, it is very disturbing.”
