I Remember...

Just a memory about a SEAL that died in a training accident back in 2001. HT2 Danielson (one of the funniest guys I ever had the pleasure to know).

Picture this: We are in BUD/S Class 210, it was early - a week or 2 before Hell Week and we are on the steps for the dive tower to do underwater knot tying I think was the evolution at the time. Anyway we are all standing there slowly making our way up the steps. We were in the smurf boat crew so we were the last ones - at the end. We were actually swim buddies at the time so we were always bull shitting together. (This memory just hit me earleir today for some reason...) Scotty says to me, "hey there are some guys from Team 1 right below us! Look at my leg..." and he points to his leg. *lmfao* the guy took a piss on the guys at the bottom. Then he laughs and says "they have no idea a BUD/S student just pissed on their heads." (water is always dripping from the tower anyway so they didnt realize anything. He and I laughed about it thw whole time. Funniest thing was when we were underwater, I thought about it and bust out laughing! Instructor G (BIG guy) yanks me up - "what the fuck is wrong with you?" he says. Luckily I talked my way out of it and he let me do it again right there instead of failing me on the evolution.

Seems pretty silly, but knowing Scott, you'll be able to appreciate his humor. Just one the million memories I have of him (all but 1 is hilarious).

REST IN PEACE SCOTTY - YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

Thanks. I feel the same way you do, remembering the good things about departed friends keeps them close.
